2011 Peugeot 308 GTi

Peugeot released a new model known as 2011 Peugeot 308 GTi. is available as 5-door models only.

The new 308 GTi is powered by the same engine as the RCZ Coupe: an all new 1.6 liter THP 200 bhp engine mated to 6-speed manual gearbox. The car’s exterior is distinguished by: a bright black carbon-style insert under the front bumper lower skirt (specificity France), "Sport" lower front panel derived from the 308 CC, lower rear bumper panel with Perla Nera black diffuser, rear spoiler, offering additional efficiency at high speeds, a twin chrome exhaust pipes, GTi badges on the side and rear of the body.

Combining a number of innovative technologies – THP (Twin-Scroll turbocharger and direct petrol injection), and VTi (variable valve lift and valve timing) – this engine, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, offers high levels of drive ability.

Its maximum power of 147 kW is available from 5500 to 6800 rpm, combined with a constant maximum torque of 275 Nm between 1700 and 4500 rpm, the 308 GTi also offers particularly low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The car’s chassis has also been adapted to match the characteristics of the engine: fitted with 225/40 R18 tires, it combines excellent stability at high speed with guaranteed comfort at low speed. 340 mm diameter brake discs at the front and 290 mm at the rear ensure high levels of braking performance.

THP (Turbo-charged High-Pressure) with a Twin-Scroll turbocharger for performance and instantaneous response at very low engine speeds; direct petrol injection ensuring optimal fuel consumption;

VTi (Variable valve and Timing injection) with variable lift of the intake valves coupled with variable timing of the intake and exhaust camshafts, for reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

This system ensures remarkable engine responsiveness, since the turbo boost begins at 1000 rpm, enabling the engine to produce its maximum torque from just 1700 rpm. High-pressure direct injection, for optimal overall efficiency direct petrol injection makes it possible to combine a high engine output with low fuel consumption. The high-pressure injectors spray fuel directly and laterally into the combustion chamber at a maximum pressure of 120 bars.

This technology combines a variable timing system on the intake and exhaust camshafts with a variable lift system on the intake valves.

Sound System technology delivers different harmonics according to vehicle acceleration. The 308 GTi benefits from an already efficient suspension setup derived from platform 2: a McPherson type front suspension and a rear suspension consisting of a rear torsion beam

The end result is a well balanced front wheel drive set-up ensuring optimal accuracy and efficiency and maximum driving enjoyment and safety at all times.

To ensure maximum braking efficiency, both in terms of power and endurance, the car are equipped with generously dimensioned ventilated front brake discs: 340x30 mm.

Camaro Convertible

The base Camaro Convertible is available in LS and LT guise, with an available RS cosmetic package. What makes the convertible Camaro unique from the coupe variant is its ability to retract its power-folding soft top in about 20 seconds. Other changes for the latest model year include the availability the Synergy Green exterior color on any Camaro model -- for $395 -- and the addition of a Head-Up Display system to the Camaros option list.

Camaros entertainment systems include a single-CD radio with six speakers that are standard on LS and LT V6 models. The Camaro Convertible features deep, recessed gauges, located in square housings outlined in chrome, giving a nod to the classic Camaro. Both the LS and LT models ride on General Motors FE2 suspension, featuring an independent rear suspension. The Camaro Convertible features a myriad of safety features, including: Driver and front passenger dual-stage air bags, driver and front passenger seat-mounted thorax side-impact air bags, head curtain side-impact air bags for front- and rear-seat occupants, front-seat safety belt load limiters and pretension and a front passenger detection system that senses children and small-stature adults, and suppresses air bag deployment when appropriate.

For 2011, the V6-powered Chevy Camaro gets a bump in horsepower from 304 to 312. Fitted with a power-operated top, the Camaro convertible is offered in the same V6 and V8 configurations as the coupe. If you like its looks, the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro will deliver.

The 2011 Chevy Camaro is a four-seat coupe or convertible available in V6-powered LS (coupe only), 1LT and 2LT trim levels, and V8-powered 1SS and 2SS trim levels.

Standard equipment on the LS includes black 18-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, cruise control, keyless entry, air-conditioning, four-way manual front seats with power recline, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, On Star and a six-speaker stereo with CD player, auxiliary audio jack and satellite radio. The 1LT adds 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and eight-way power seats. The 2SS essentially features the 1SSs performance bits with the 2LTs convenience and luxury features.

A six-speed manual is standard and a six-speed automatic is optional. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 17 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined with the manual and 18/29/22 mpg with the automatic.

Every 2011 Chevy Camaro comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and On Star. In Edmunds brake testing, both Camaro V6 and V8 coupes with 20-inch wheels came to a stop from 60 mph in an excellent 111 feet.

Muscle cars have traditionally had bland interiors, but the Camaro laudably mixes retro touches like square gauge hoods and the available four-pack of auxiliary gauges with a modern dash design.

The Camaro also displays impressive amounts of grip, communicative steering and a refined suspension that make it exponentially more talented around corners than any Camaro that came before it.

The convertible will be offered in similar model configurations as the Camaro coupe. The SS model will feature the 6.2-liter V-8 engine producing 426 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.

Note that automatic SS models get a slightly less powerful V-8 engine, with output coming in at 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

Rear parking assist is standard on all convertible models.
